My story begins in Florence, South Carolina, rooted in a strong, Gospel-preaching Baptist church. It was during a Wednesday night prayer meeting there, at just four years old, that I trusted in Jesus Christ as my Savior. By age twelve, a clear call to ministry began shaping my path, leading me to a Christian university in Chattanooga, TN. That's where I met my wonderful wife, Lori, and earned my degree in Christian Education.
Newly married, we headed to Texas in 1992 for my studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, where I earned a Master of Theology degree. God's guidance soon brought us to Pantego (Central) Bible Church in 1994, which has been our cherished church home ever since. My pastoral journey here started with seven formative years in Student Ministry, a period of immense growth.
Now, I have the privilege of pastoring our vibrant A3 Community (ages 60+). Caring for this incredible group is a genuine joy. My role also involves overseeing two vital ministries: Celebrate Recovery, our Christ-centered 12-Step program, and ReEngage, focused on strengthening marriages. You'll often find me leading our dedicated Prayer Counselor team near the platform after Sunday services.
Lori and I are blessed with four amazing children, three wonderful kids-in-law, and two precious grandsons! We prioritize making memories with them, even across state lines, and enjoy traveling to keep lifelong friendships strong. We love going out to dinner, trying new restaurants whenever possible. Serving this amazing church family continues to be one of the greatest blessings of my life.
