Executive Pastor
I grew up in the small town of Alvin, Texas. I did not have a Christian upbringing, but a good friend began inviting me to church when I was 9. A year later after hearing God's Word taught many times and learning more about the gospel, I put my trust in Christ and was baptized.
When I was a senior at the University of Texas in Austin I began to sense a calling to pastoral ministry. Though I had planned to attend law school after graduation, when I would pray about what the Lord wanted for my future, I kept hearing him say, "Feed my sheep." (John 21:17). After graduation from UT, I entered seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth where I completed my Master of Divinity in 2006. I would later go on to get a Doctor of Ministry in 2017 from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In my 20+ years of vocational ministry the Lord has allowed me to serve in many ways including urban ministry with BridgeBuilders in Dallas and globally as a disciple-maker and trainer of pastors in over 15 countries. Since 2011, I have had the joy of serving on the staff of Central Bible Church. As the church’s Executive Pastor, I help ensure that we are moving forward to accomplish the mission the Lord has given us.
My wife, Kelly, and I have been married since 2006 and the Lord has blessed us with three kids: Colin, Brady, and Harper. In my free time I like to do “dad bod” work outs, read mostly non-fiction, enjoy mountains and lakes, and eat great food (especially Tex-Mex and Mediterranean).
