ReGenesis Bible Church Pastor
I grew up attending church with my family throughout high school and college, graduating in 1994. In 1995, I left my home country of Burundi, believing I was a strong Christian. In 2005, after resettling in the USA as a refugee, a friend introduced me to a year-long daily Bible study plan. This experience brought a deep interaction with God’s Word into my life, and in 2007, I accepted Christ as my Savior and was baptized.
In 2006, I shifted careers from electromechanical engineering to the medical field. I began with pharmacy technician training at NETCC and completed interpretation and translation training in medical, legal, and social fields with TIN Network. Later, in 2010, I completed Health Promotion and Management training through a UNT-affiliated program. During this time, I served my community through roles at JPS Health Network (2008–2017) and Catholic Charities (2006–2009), providing interpretation and translation services in Tarrant and Dallas counties. In 2007, God called me to lead a prayer group for refugee families, which later became a ministry that met at Central Bible Church. In 2009, I was affirmed in this calling through 1 Peter 1:2-3. After completing Systematic Theology and AIT at CBC, I was ordained in 2013 and installed as Lead Pastor of the Regenesis Congregation. I have served full-time on the CBC staff since 2017 and completed Biblical Counseling training through BCC in 2019.
My wife, Valerie, and I have been married since 1996, and the Lord has blessed us with three children: Allain, Eloi, and Vania. In my free time, I enjoy running (about six miles every other day), reading leadership books and the Bible, and spending time with my family—especially over a good seafood and fruit salad meal.
