When I was five, my parents divorced, and I went to live with my mom. Not knowing where to look, my mom began attending our local church and came to know Jesus there. She encouraged me to grow my own personal faith and to pursue a lifelong love of Christ. I accepted Christ and was baptized in 1998.
In 2015, I graduated from Harding University with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. Over the next several years, I taught both first and second grade before moving abroad to join a mission team in Leipzig, Germany. After nearly two years of service, in the midst of the pandemic, my family moved back to the United States. I returned to the classroom to teach kindergarten for one year before deciding to leave education to focus on my growing family. In 2022, I joined the Children's Ministry team at Central Bible Church as the KinderKix Coordinator where I oversaw the volunteers and activities of the kindergarten students in our ministry. In January of 2024, I transitioned into a writing and support role as the Children's Ministry Coordinator. I currently write and create materials for the K-6th grade small group lessons and design our Discipleship Challenges, along with any other supporting roles that are needed.
My husband, Matt, and I have been married since 2014. We have three beautiful daughters: Lucy, Hanna, and Flora, whom it is my joy to homeschool. In my limited spare time, I love to run, read just about anything, try new recipes, and design kids learning materials for my Etsy shop. I have been and continue to be greatly blessed!
