As a pastor’s kid, I can’t remember a time I didn’t know about Jesus. Around the age of 5, I wanted to go to heaven with the rest of my family and understood that Jesus died to make a way for me to get there. At the kitchen table with my family, tiny me asked the God of the universe to forgive my sins and come into my life. My relationship with Jesus took off in college through the ministry of Cru, where I found a deep faith community and a mission beyond my small world.
Halfway through my time at Texas Tech, earning a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, I realized I wanted to spend my life helping others know Jesus, the way my ministry leaders had done for me. In 2001, I joined the staff of Cru and since that time I’ve had the joy (and chaos) of ministering full-time in all kinds of places—college campuses, film sets, under-resourced neighborhoods, art studios in Austin, mission trips to different cultures, and design teams in Orlando and at Southwestern Seminary here in Fort Worth. In 2018, God connected the dots and put me in the role of Communication Director at Central Bible Church. I love seeing how God wove together my past, preparing me to serve our church toward greater discipleship to Jesus through various media and communication. This is my greatest passion – to see others know and love God more while living out their God-given identity to serve the Kingdom. And doing it with creativity!
Since 2016, I’ve been living with my sweet mom and our two cute pups. I’m a sucker for travel and discovering other cultures. At home, you can find me tending the garden, making art, watching movies, reading, or dreaming and discussing the Kingdom of God over coffee with friends.
