Worship Associate
I grew up in the small East Texas town of Lindale (yes, the Miranda Lambert town) and was in church within a week of my birth. Any time the church doors were open, I was there, whether it was leading youth group worship or playing basketball. Even though I was in church my whole life, I really only understood the gravity of following Jesus after talking to my brother before he went on mission.
I studied music with a focus in guitar and worship at East Texas Baptist University, which I graduated from in 2024. While attending, I was a chapel band leader and the music director for our traveling worship team, and I oversaw live recording projects for the worship department. I interned for two years at Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview, where I was mentored and taught most of what I know about being a leader and using technology as an advantageous tool in worship, as opposed to being a distraction. Leading and equipping worship teams to raise the standard of what we bring to God is a passion that I am fortunate to be able to pursue in my position. Outside of church I play guitar and do sound engineering with a traveling worship group based in Dallas called Portraits Music.
I am the youngest of four and my siblings always tell me I am spoiled (which they are correct about). If I had to have a different career I would open a coffee shop that has no internet access and is focused on personal connection. Other interests of mine are cooking, ultimate frisbee, hiking, and home decor.
