Student Pastor
I grew up in a small town in deep East Texas with Christian parents who raised my brothers and me in the church. We were involved in just about everything our church offered, and it was at a preteen camp that I gave my life to the Lord and was baptized shortly after.
Heading into my senior year of high school, I had plans to become a doctor. But during that season—just when I thought I had my future figured out—the Lord clearly called me into ministry. Around that same time, I received an offer to play baseball at East Texas Baptist University, where I pursued a degree in Christian Ministry. After graduation, I was offered a position as a resident director at ETBU. It was a unique and formative ministry opportunity where I helped freshman students learn how to live on their own, without Mom and Dad setting the rules. While working in that role, I also earned my master’s in Christian Ministry.
Still confident in my calling to vocational ministry, I eventually landed at Central Bible Church in 2023, where I now serve as the Student Pastor. I get the joy of pressing rewind to my time at ETBU—training up students in the ways of the Lord and helping prepare them for life after high school. I also help oversee our college ministry, continuing to walk with students as they pursue Jesus through the unique season of college life.
My wife, Madison, and I have been married since 2020, and it's been a gift to do life and ministry together. When I’m not spending time with students, I love walking our two Mini Australian Shepherds, playing games, reading, helping Madison with her flower business, playing disc golf, eating great tacos, and hunting for the best coffee in DFW.
