MEET OUR TEAM

AMANDA SMITH

Fix Coordinator (5th - 6th grade)

I was raised in a family that prioritized going to church, but I didn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus growing up. At the end of my sophomore year, my mom was in a traumatic accident, and through that difficult time, the Lord pursued me. He placed people in my life who encouraged me to attend church camp that summer. It was there that I came to understand how deeply God loves me and that He desires a personal relationship with each of us. I put my faith in Jesus and have been walking with Him ever since.

I attended the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig Sooie!), where I volunteered in Children’s Ministry at my local church every Sunday and on Wednesday nights with AWANA. After graduating with an undergraduate degree in Social Work, I continued my education at the University of Texas at Arlington, where I received my Master’s in Social Work. I then obtained my licensure and became a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). While I initially planned to build a career in that field, the Lord had other plans in store for me. I volunteered in The FIX for several years as a volunteer and absolutely loved it. In February 2023, God opened the door for me to step into the coordinator role. It is truly a joy to walk alongside 5th and 6th graders, helping them grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and in their relationship with the Lord.

My husband, Christian, and I have been married since 2018, and are blessed with two beautiful children, Judah and Abigail. In my free time,  I enjoy spending time with family and friends, curling up with a good book, and watching a great show or movie.
