MEET OUR TEAM

ALISON DELLENBAUGH

Spiritual Formation Resource Manager

I didn’t grow up in church, but halfway through college, at my parents’ urging, I got involved with the college ministry of this church. Through hearing the truth of God taught and being challenged to develop a Christian worldview, I put my faith in Christ and was baptized.

After graduating from UT Austin with a degree in Radio-TV-Film, I met my husband through the college ministry the day I moved back to Arlington! I worked as a technical writer for 7.5 years, mostly in Austin, before staying home with our kids. As they grew, I did some freelance writing and pursued a career in writing fiction for young readers. When we returned to Arlington and Central Bible Church in 2009, God gave me a new love for His Word and prayer, and completely changed my plans! I volunteered in communications for a year, then joined the staff part-time in 2011. I’ve edited The Scrolls ever since.

In the next few years, God directed me into vocational ministry, and I graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2021 with a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership. In 2022 I started my full-time role at CBC, which includes managing, editing, and developing content for NextStepDisciple.org and editing our Central Press books and other resources. I also lead the Women’s Ministry Prayer Team, serve as a Sunday prayer counselor, and enjoy teaching in various areas, leading Bible studies, serving my Home Group and Community Group, and more. I feel called to build leaders and the church for God’s purposes, helping to expand people’s vision of God and extend the mission of His church.

Mark and I have been married since 1991 and have three grown children. I take frequent prayer walks. I‘ve been to France and Ethiopia on mission. I love creative endeavors like theatre and writing, and I’m a lifelong learner, constantly expanding my own vision through reading, podcasts, classes, conferences, cohorts, etc. I’ve also served as a giftedness coach, and I love helping others discover more of God and their place in His plans.
