MEET OUR TEAM

Soy de España, concretamente de las Islas Canarias. A los 11 años, un misionero de Irlanda del Norte, Dennis Murphy, invitó a mis abuelos y a mis padres a comer a una iglesia que se estaba poniendo en marcha en mi barrio. Ese encuentro supuso un punto de inflexión significativo en la vida de mi familia. De la noche a la mañana, todo cambió después de que mis padres recibieran a Jesús por fe. Una noche, mientras todos dormían, me levanté de la cama, me arrodillé y recibí a Jesucristo como mi Salvador personal. En esa misma oración, respondí a la gracia que había recibido. Le dije a Dios que, cuando creciera, quería dedicarme a compartir el Evangelio, tal y como ese misionero había hecho con mi familia. El Señor me llamó al ministerio a una edad temprana, y desde entonces me he comprometido a servirle.

A lo largo de los años, Dios siguió llamándome y confirmando mi vocación de asistir al seminario. Tras casi dos años de matrimonio, mi esposa Carol y yo nos mudamos a Madrid para estudiar ministerio pastoral en Sefovan, estudios que completé en 2013. Se me abrieron las puertas para continuar mis estudios teológicos en el Criswell College de Dallas durante un año, y en 2017 obtuve mi Máster en Divinidad en el Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary de Fort Worth. Mi próximo paso es estudiar un doctorado en ministerio.

Durante nuestros cuatro años en Madrid, colaboramos en la fundación de una iglesia en la localidad de Barajas. Tras graduarnos en el SWBTS de Fort Worth, regresamos a Tenerife, España, donde ejercí como pastor y presté servicio en la isla durante cuatro años. Tras esa etapa, el Señor nos abrió las puertas para servir en la Central Bible Church, donde pusimos en marcha los servicios en español en 2022.

Carol y yo estamos casados desde 2007 y tenemos la bendición de tener tres hijas: Sofía, Irene e Isabel. En mi tiempo libre, me gusta ver el fútbol, especialmente cuando gana el Real Madrid o pierde el Barcelona. También tengo debilidad por la cocina hispana, incluyendo los tacos, las pupusas y las arepas.

I am from Spain, specifically the Canary Islands. At the age of 11, a missionary from Northern Ireland, Dennis Murphy, invited my grandparents and parents to lunch at a church that was starting in my neighborhood. This encounter marked a significant turning point in my family's life. Overnight, everything changed after my parents received Jesus by faith. One night, while everyone was asleep, I got out of bed, knelt down, and received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. In that same prayer, I responded to the grace I had received. I told God that as I grew up, I wanted to dedicate myself to sharing the Gospel, just as this missionary had done with my family. The Lord called me to ministry at a young age, and I have been committed to serving Him ever since.

Over the years, God continued to call and confirm my calling to attend seminary. After nearly two years of marriage, my wife Carol and I moved to Madrid to study pastoral ministry at Sefovan, which I completed in 2013. Doors opened for me to pursue further theological studies at Criswell College in Dallas for a year, and I earned my Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth in 2017. My next step is to pursue a doctoral program in ministry.

During our four years in Madrid, we served at a church plant in the town of Barajas. After graduating from SWBTS in Fort Worth, we returned to Tenerife, Spain, where I pastored and served on the island for four years. After that season, the Lord opened the door for us to serve at Central Bible Church, where we launched Spanish services in 2022.

Carol and I have been married since 2007, and we are blessed with three daughters: Sofia, Irene, and Isabel. In my free time, I enjoy watching soccer, especially when Real Madrid wins or Barcelona loses. I also have a weakness for Hispanic cuisine, including tacos, pupusas, and arepas.
