I grew up in Gihembe Refugee Camp in the Eastern Province of Rwanda. raised in a Christian home as Seventh-day Adventist. My parents love Lordand encouraged us to attend church. Throughout my childhood, my life revolved around school and church activities, including Serving, Bible studies, and summer camps.
In April 2016, my family move to the United States. I have seven siblings, four sister and three brother. I am second oldest. We first lived in Tucson, Arizona, before moving to Texas. During that time, my relationship with the Lord became weaker as I focused on learning English and adjusting to life in a new country. I spent most of my energy trying to communicate with classmates and succeed in school.
When we moved to Texas, I began attending ReGenesis Bible Church. From my very first week Here, I felt welcomed and excited to be part of the church. Even when I did not fully understand everything, I enjoyed being there and quickly grew to love attending church services and Central Student Ministry events. I was in 8th grade at the time. My Father had already started attending ReGenesis before the rest of the family moved to Texas. It reminded me of the church camps I had enjoyed growing up. In the summer of 2017, I attended Kids Camp, and since then I have remained actively involved in church.
During high school, especially before COVID, I became heavily involved in sports and spent less time attending church activities than I once had. By my senior year in 2022, I was very competitive in rugby and flag football and devoted much of my time to sports and school. Even during those busy years, I could still sense God's presence in my life. In the summer of 2022, I began serving at church whenever I had free time. Looking back, I can clearly see how God continued to open doors for me and show His grace, even during seasons when I was not as close to Him as I should have been.
As a freshman in college, I was blessed with a roommate who loved Christ deeply and encouraged me to pursue my own relationship with Him. Since starting at the University of Texas at Arlington, I have been more intentional about serving the Lord and allowing Him to use me wherever He leads. Because the university was close to both my home and church, I commuted throughout the whole four years. With the prayers and support of my church family, I graduated in May 2026 and am now blessed to be serving full-time on staff. I currently serve full-time on staff and enjoy using the gifts and opportunities God has given me to serve others and support the ministry of the church. I am grateful for the ways the Lord continues to grow my faith and allow me to be part of His work.
Family, Hobbies, and Interests: I come from a large family with seven siblings, and I enjoy spending time with them whenever I can. In my free time, I enjoy running, walking in parks, hiking, watching crime dramas, and spending time with my family.
