My family has been attending Central Bible Church since before I was born. I am very blessed to have two parents who have shown me what it looks like to love Jesus. When I was six years old, my BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) teacher shared the gospel with me and it clicked. I realized that I needed Jesus in charge of my life and went home and prayed with my parents on the floor of my dad’s office. I was baptized by Pastor Ira Orr when I was eight years old.
I was very involved in student ministry during my high school years here at CBC and went on many short-term mission trips. This time developed me as a believer—and also introduced me to my future husband.
I attended the University of Arkansas where I studied early childhood education. I spent seven years as a teacher in Arlington ISD. I loved teaching and prayed that God would use me as a light to children and families in my community. In 2016, my husband and I got married and have since welcomed two incredible girls, Scarlett and Georgia. I said goodbye to my classroom at the end the 2024 school year and took some time to stay home with my girls during their precious young years.
Now, I work on the Children’s Ministry team as an assistant, writing the small group curriculum and Discipleship Challenges. Working in ministry is a new realm for me, and I absolutely love it. In my free time I love decorating cookies, spending time with family, and eating lots of chips and queso!
