SERVE THE CITY
We believe God calls all Christians to show compassion to those in need. Psalm 82:3-4 cries out, "Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked." Through our local compassion efforts, Central Bible Church seeks to meet the needs of people in our neighboring communities. For more information, contact us.
KIDS BEACH CLUB
In an effort to be the church in the public schools, Central Bible Church has formed an exciting strategic partnership with Kids Beach Club. Kids Beach Clubs are after-school Bible clubs for children grades 3 through 6. CBC leads Beach Clubs at Duff, Hill, Miller, and Sherrod Elementary schools by providing volunteers and financial support to make them happen throughout the school year. The goal of this outreach is to make Jesus famous in the public schools!
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT MINISTRY
There are more than 4,000 international students at UTA. Many of these students desire to meet their American neighbors. Through our International Student Ministry (ISM), partnering with International Students Inc., you can share Christ's love with friends from around the world and go beyond without leaving home. Check out the UTA Big Howdy online, or contact us to find out how to get involved with this ministry!
ESL & EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH
Central Bible Church provides a number of educational opportunities for immigrants in our community. These opportunities include several levels of ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, citizenship class, and writing skills class. During the school year, classes are held on our campus Wednesdays from 9:15 to 11:00 am and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Childcare is available at each class time. Training is available if you'd like to volunteer with this ministry. Contact the ESL Ministry to learn more.
The Local Compassion Ministry at Central Bible Church exists to provide opportunities and resources for our church body to show compassion to those in need through the giving of financial gifts and through intentional hands-on partnerships with credible agencies that care for the needs of the poor, the homeless and the oppressed in DFW.

Four widows in Kennedale founded Oakcrest Family Church in 1993. In 1996 their pastor, Jim Norwood, felt led to take the widows' vision to the next level. Sitting directly behind the 'red-light' district that can be seen near the 820 / I-20 interchange, Oakcrest Family Church is passionate for reaching those that have fallen and need physical and spiritual assistance to get on their feet again. Oakcrest is a wonderful place for CBC individuals, Home Groups, or Community Groups to get involved. Their mission is to minister to ex-offenders and families of those incarcerated by giving them a new start in life beginning with Jesus.
